Investment in unquoted companies, or Private Equity, is considered investment in complex financial instruments and will not be suitable for all investors. Investors must ensure they are fully aware of all risks associated with investing in Private Equity. Investing in small unquoted companies carries a high degree of risk; the value of shares and the income from them may go down as well as up, you may not get back the money you invested and your capital is not guaranteed. There are no official trading platforms for Private Equity and accordingly you may not be able to buy and sell shares when you choose. Cornhill Capital aims to match buyers and sellers with coinciding pricing expectations, but there may be a significant delay before any transactions in these shares are completed as there may not be sufficient demand from buyers and sellers. Should you need to sell you may be unable to find a buyer and you should only invest monies you can afford to lose. You should not enter this market unless you are willing and able to bear the loss of up to the whole of your investment. The liquidity of Private Equity investments is unclear and an investment horizon timescale of a medium to long term, with a minimum of 18 months should be viewed. There is no guarantee that the Private Equity fundraise will achieve its main objectives and provide a return of investments. There is no guarantee of investment performance or the level of capital gain or income that will be generated. You should not subscribe to a Private Equity subscription unless you have taken appropriate independent advice.
