At a very difficult time you will find that we act with sympathy to help you deal with a loved one's estate. We can help with verifying and valuing investments to comply with HMRC requirements so that you can be provided with a grant of probate.
We can confirm investments, their valuation and income due at the date of death.
Once the grant of probate has been issued we are then able to register the death with the appropriate registrars of the investments and sell on behalf of the executors or transfer them to the beneficiaries.
If you are not able to locate all of the paperwork and/or share certificates we will be able to help and advise how you are able to regain control by way of indemnity application or other means.
If you have already been issued with the grant of probate and are now seeking to sell the investment holdings, then we can offer our broking service for you to trade with us and release the resulting funds to you in a timely manner.
Once the estate has been officially wound up we are able to offer ongoing portfolio management to the beneficiaries.
We can provide you with an estimate of charging when requested.
All investments involve a degree of risk. The value of your investment can go down as well as up and you may not get back the money you invested. Cornhill focuses primarily on the provision of investments and services which are regarded as high risk. Investments in smaller companies and investments that are not readily realisable are considered high risk investments and you may have difficulty in selling them at a reasonable price and in some circumstances it may be difficult to sell at any price. Investments in high risk products should only be considered as suitable for high risk investors or as part of an overall balanced portfolio of investments. If you have any doubts about the suitability of an investment you should seek professional advice. Click for more info.
